TIME FOR PHASE 6… and 7… and A BABY!

As many of you know… we are expecting a baby missionary!!!!
Another miracle of God´s love! Our baby will be born in Guatemala around January 2023 and this means that we will not be able to fly to Minnesota for our yearly fundraiser Christmas Market. So, please pray for us as we seek funding and trust in God who continues to outdo us in generosity.

It is always beautiful to stop and ponder on how much love and grace overflow from the Heart of God, and how many daily miracles happen when we have the eyes to see it!

THE UPDATE!!!

We are close to completing Phase 6. This means we have “stretched” the funds to pay hundreds of hours of labor, and the material to redesign the rooms and hallways on the second level; we have basically demolished and prepared the old bathrooms to be built up from “scratch”, repaired walls, beams, floors and began the installation of the new exterior windows! The new electrical circuits and wiring in the west wing are done and we will be ordering the tile for the bathrooms and the granite floor for the entire second level in the coming days… praise the Lord!

As I like to say, the skeleton is almost done, and we are getting close to putting some tissue on the building!

Phase 7 will include the completion of the bathrooms, including pipes, floor, tiles, windows, and accessories, the continuation of the ADOPT-a-ROOM initiative, and the laying of the entire granite floor on the second level. It is so exciting to see all the effort and work come together! To be able to complete this new Phase, prepare for the next one and keep the “Tortillas de Amor” food program going we will need prayers and support!

We are hoping to move into Phase 7 in the next couple of months and be able to complete the work by October this year. We will take a needed break from the construction and focus on the Tortillas de Amor program, the elderly we serve, and also be able to take care of ourselves and prepare to receive our little one!

We thank God for all those who have supported us spiritually, financially, and emotionally and for those who have remained close, hopeful, and interested in what we are doing in San Lucas Tolimán. Pray for all the wonderful people working by our side to make this dream come true and be able to offer a home to so many elderly who are alone and need love and care.

If you feel called to ADOPT-a-ROOM or contribute to any part of Phase 6 and Phase 7 please pass the word, write us, call us, or leave us a message in the comment box.
Every act of love and generosity counts!

God bless you and keep you in the joy of His merciful love!
